We opened Ceramica Blue in 1987 with the colourful, hand-painted ceramics of the famed Sicilian artist Giovanni De Simone. His studio was founded in Palermo in the 1960’s and led the way in modern ceramics that celebrated the rich heritage of the beautiful island of Sicily. The attention to quality and joyful creativity of these unique pieces continues with their skilled production to this day.

As each piece is hand painted no two are identical.

We also occasionally stock some of these designs as XL platters that can be displayed on the wall when they are not being used as spectacular serving dishes.

These pieces are gentle dishwasher safe although to maintain their lustrous glaze we would recommend hand washing.
